How to raise people's awareness of native fauna.
Does anyone have any ideas on how I could raise peoples awareness of native fauna in certain pockets of bush around woollhara. Prompts-Inexpensive, eye catching, not ugly and boring, quick to do, imaginative.

Protecting native fauna in remnant bushlands
There are many pockets of native bushland throughout the Woollahra Council municipality. These pockets are home to a wide range of native fauna and I often see dogs and cats roaming these unprotected parks. I would like to raise the public's awareness of the wildlife in these pockets by asking council to fund our school to create sculptures of native animals to be placed in these pocket parks. ( This would raise people's awareness and be a lot more pleasing than another sign!)

Keeping dogs away from Lachlan Swamp to protect native Blue Tongue Lizards DIFFERENT.
My topic is to keep dogs away from Lachlan Swamp. To do this I propose a number of solutions. Firstly, dog-proof fencing could be erected. Signs could be posted requiring dogs to be kept on leash only in and around the swamp area. Dogs could be totally banned from the swamp area. There could be heavy fines paid if dogs are found raoming in the swamp are.
Sebastian is also concerned abou the blue-tngue populations at Lachlan Swamp but is trying to solve the problem using different solutions.

Improve lizard habitat in centennial park
What: I will improve the habitat of Blue Tongues near Lachlan swamp.
Why: Because lots of blue tongues are basking on tarmac road and are being squished by cars or eaten by cats and dogs.
How: If the blue tongues are numerous and arent being squished on the tarmac.
